  • Developed a 2000+ gate TMS1020 FPGA used to control a sonar transmitter.
  • Developed 68HC05 and 68HC11 uP firmware for sonobouy system control and signal processing.
  • ADSP2105 DSP code for multiple frequency command tone detection utilizing a Goertzel algorithm.
  • Developed floating point, integer, and byte oriented C++ GUI Goertzel simulators.
  • Significantly cost reduced new sonobouy design by moving multiple tone detection from a 10Mip DSP into a 68HC11 uP.

  • Designed an ISA adapter board used for encoding/decoding data during the vertical blanking interval of an NTSC signal. Including
    • Two serially linked 68HC16 embedded processors handling the PC interface and video processing respectively. -
    • Two channel 16 bit DMA design with dual 8K FIFO interface to 68HC16 with corresponding dual interrupt channels
    • A multiport 8 bit RAM implementing Standard I/O interface with interrupt semaphores between the AT and 68HC16
  • Developed firmware for initial 68030 board bring up and test.
